Alibay Mammmadov

Alibay Mammadov is the Head of Tokyo Office at AZEGLOB Consulting Group and Founder of the AZEPRO Co., Ltd., a company that specializing in supplying Azerbaijani-made beverage products to the Japanese market. He studied at the Center for Slavic and Eurasian Studies of Hokkaido University in Japan between 2012 and 2018. He also served as a Chairman at the International Student Council Executive Committee of Hokkaido University during his studies. 

He previously worked as an Interpreter and a Translator in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and served as an Interpreter for the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan. Moreover, he taught "Azerbaijani Culture" classes at public schools in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area within the framework of the "International Students as Teachers Education Program" run by the Japan Foundation for International Understanding. 

Additionally, since 2017 in accordance with an agreement inked between the Baku International Multiculturalism Center and the Center for Slavic and Eurasian Studies, he delivers a series of lectures on "Azerbaijani Multiculturalism" at Hokkaido University in Japan. He is also an author of several books and articles published both by the Japanese and Azerbaijani media outlets. He is fluent in Azerbaijani, Japanese, Turkish, English and Russian.
