Vusal Guliyev, Ph.D.

Vusal Guliyev is the Head of Shanghai Office at AZEGLOB Consulting Group and Founder of the AZETRON Trading Co., Limited, a privately held full-service market intelligence and business consultancy firm headquartered in Shanghai, China. He is also a Policy Expert at the Topchubashov Center (a Baku-based global policy think tank where he writes extensively on East Asian and Pacific Affairs) and an Associate Research Fellow at the China Studies Center of Khazar University in Baku. He holds a Master's degree in China Studies and a Ph.D. in International Politics from Shanghai International Studies University. His professional portfolio includes long-term Visiting Research Fellowships from Ankara University Asia-Pacific Research Center, Harvard University Davis Center, and Boğaziçi University Asian Studies Center, respectively. While pursuing his postgraduate studies, he also attended the international workshop series at Kyushu University of Japan and interned at Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. Besides being a contributing author to numerous scholarly books, he regularly writes research articles, commentaries, op-eds, and analytical policy reports for local and international media outlets and think tanks. Throughout his professional career, he also delivered consulting services in various fields to the institutions from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, China, Japan, Canada and Germany. He is fluent in Azerbaijani, Chinese, Turkish, English and Russian.


Alibay Mammmadov, Ph.D.

Alibay Mammadov is the Head of Tokyo Office at AZEGLOB Consulting Group and Founder of the AZEPRO Co., Ltd., a company that specializing in supplying Azerbaijani-made beverage products to the Japanese market. He studied at the Center for Slavic and Eurasian Studies of Hokkaido University in Japan between 2012 and 2018. He also served as a Chairman at the International Student Council Executive Committee of Hokkaido University during his studies. Plus, he previously worked as an Interpreter and a Translator in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and served as an Interpreter for the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan. Moreover, he taught "Azerbaijani Culture" classes at public schools in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area within the framework of the "International Students as Teachers Education Program" run by the Japan Foundation for International Understanding. Additionally, since 2017 in accordance with an agreement inked between the Baku International Multiculturalism Center and the Center for Slavic and Eurasian Studies, he delivers a series of lectures on "Azerbaijani Multiculturalism" at Hokkaido University in Japan. He is also an author of several books and articles published both by the Japanese and Azerbaijani media outlets. He is fluent in Azerbaijani, Japanese, Turkish, English and Russian.


Nihat Khalilzade, Ph.D.

Nihat Khalilzade is the Head of Seoul Office at AZEGLOB Consulting Group and Director at Gangnam Global Village Center where he works for the Korean Government to support expats to live and work in South Korea. Aside from that, he is also a Community Founder at the INNOVATIVE KOREA, the company that serves as the first point of contact for expats as startup founders, business founders, managers, entrepreneurs, researchers, scientists, diplomats, students, and other foreign residents, to facilitate for expats starting their projects and contribute to the development of South Korea through commercial activities. In addition to his aforementioned roles, he is also a Member of the Social Integration Advisory Committee at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea. Notably, he is experienced in global business development management with a demonstrated history of working in the Information technology and expat services industry. He is skilled in Computer Literacy, Strategic Consulting, Team Leadership, Project Management, Business Intelligence, and Multicultural Education. He obtained a Master of Science in IT Management from Soongsil University and a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Seoul National University. He is fluent in Azerbaijani, Korean, Turkish, English and Russian.
